Have you just stumbled upon Payhere? If you’re not entirely sure who we are, then you have come to the right place. Hopefully, by the end of this, we will be best friends!
What on earth is Payhere?
We’re a Northern-Irish based company (in Ballymena) that operates worldwide, with over 1000 users in 100 countries. Payhere is a tool that enables anyone to set up and take payments anywhere on the internet. In fact, we’ve now processed over £1,000,000 since starting up just over 18 months ago and are continuing to grow pretty quickly!
"And to whom do I owe the pleasure?"
As I mentioned, Payhere was launched around 18 months ago by co-founders Pete Hawkins and Scott Wylie. Before this, the pair had successfully run a software agency together, called Alternate Labs. At the start of September 2020, they hired Joel White as the Business Development Manager. Here’s a photo of the team celebrating Joel’s first day! (From left to right- Pete, Joel & Scott.)
So… What do you actually do?
Well Payhere, as a tool is a piece of software that any business can sign up to, create payment links for one-off or recurring payments, and a one-page payment website that you can copy and paste the link to anywhere. So, instead of having a brick and mortar store in one or two locations, your business can happen anywhere on the internet. All of it takes about 10 minutes to set up and is the perfect payment solution for a service business that markets itself mainly through social media.
However, Payhere, as a company does so much more than this. We don’t just release our product into the world and watch it go. We care about supporting and nurturing traditional businesses in an ever-evolving digital world.
